As your project ideas come in, we have become aware of how crucial the front garden area is for delivering events; the Folly is a tight squeeze at only 3m diameter and accessible only by our spiral staircase.
We are therefore designing a canopy for the front courtyard that can be put up in the rain. We are inviting you to come along and get an insight glimpse into the architectural design process with Re. Future. See what is considered – space, heritage context, materials, engineering, visuals and how this informs the end product.
Just a quick reminder that this weekend sees the beginning of the Rangers Walks at the Edgbaston Reservoir.
The Birmingham City Park Rangers will be giving tours between 12.30pm and 2.30pm, followed by screen printing by Re. Future in the Rangers Lodge.
22nd August: Pond Dipping
29th August: Bird Watching
5th Sept: Botanics
12th Sept: Invertebrate hunting
(there will also be a Tolkien Tour as part of Heritage Week).
We are still looking for your workshop wishes – what do you want to see happening at the Folly/ Rangers Lodge? Thai Chi/ Cooking classes/ Yoga. Just drop us an email with your ideas.
Hope to see you there!
We have had our first Workshop Wish!
Thank you to Emily who has requested a regular gardening group to take place at the Folly.
Here’s what the garden looks like now, check back in later in the year to see how we get on . . . .
